So you want to know all about us then, well there is a bit to tell I suppose. Ill start with Dave Tuffin , Team driver and cheif Mechanic and all round head case. Dave is 47 and alwasy been into his cars and motorsport, along with orienteering, pot hole crawling and para gliding, motorbike riding. Dave had a bad accident a few years ago paragliding so that sort of put paid to that and most other mad cap stupid stunts he used to get upto, after being thrown into the ground from his paraglider in a freak strong wind it smashed his ankle to bits and put him off work for about 5 months. He is now on the mendand fine but lucky to survive that he decided paragliding was over.he now carries out more sedate things like riding his bikes and playing with cars when not working on the trains as he puts it, forLondon Midland Railways as a Guard

So now I suppose its my turn, I am Gez Wheeler, 41 and team driver, website designer and cheif organiser. I have been into my motorsports for years and in the past done orienteering, rock climbing, absailing,bike racing, kick boxing, but that all ended a few years ago after a bad accident at work and damaged my back, so now I take it easy and film motorsports with my website www.on-board-video.com ill be taking part and driving but we will be changing drivers regularly to ensure we dont suffer to bad with our past injury's. this will be the most extreme thing we have both done for quite a few years, but as its the trip of a life time and the chance to raise money were up for it.

Why We are doing the Plymouth-Dakar Challenge

We want to raise as much money for cancer research as possible, as we have both lost friends and family members to cancer.
